New graduate-programme on development aid

A new graduate-programme, Young Professional Acadamy (NYPA) are expected to be a 'fast track' to an international career in development aid. The consultancy firm NIRAS gather 12 young people from Europe in Beograd. The NYPA is an 18+6 months progressive programme. Through intensive on-the-job training and theoretical modules one will learn how to win international development consulting projects and become familiar with all stages of their management.

  • YPs will receive training on NIRAS’ tendering and project management processes and tools.
  • Training courses are divided into modules, starting with the most basic elements of our business processes and progressing to an advanced level.
  • YPs will be exposed to NIRAS’ technical competence areas in Agriculture, Land, Forestry, Governance, Green Economy and Water, and senior experts in these fields.
  • YPs will also have the opportunity to join short-term field missions for a fact finding or to backstop an on-going NIRAS project in a developing or middle income country.
  • Every YP will be clustered to in to work his/ her respective technical area (if applicable).
  • After completing the Programme, qualified YPs will be offered a fulltime position within NIRAS International Consulting.
