International Seminar on Human Rights and Peace-Building - Hosted by CRIC and Danish Institute for Human Rights

Time: November 17th, 9 – 16

Place: Alexandersalen,  Bispetorvet 1-3, 1167 Copenhagen K

The seminar will explore the relation between human rights and peace-building. We will zoom in on the sometimes conflicting, sometimes complementary relation between the two processes and for example look at the impact of transitional justice and constitution-building on peace-building, and at the way human rights has been addressed in peace negotiations and as part of broader peace processes. The seminar brings together researchers, policy-makers, and practitioners for in-depths discussions on how to strengthen both human rights and peace-building processes in countries affected by armed conflict.
