Policy Brief: Environmental resource income is important for eathquarke-hit rural households

Environmental income of rural, poor people can be increased substantially with a few changes towards more flexibility in legislation and governance. This is pointed out in a new Policy Brief from Copenhagen Centre for Development Research. It is argued that environmental resource related low cost interventions can create sustainable incomes for rural, earthquake-hit households in Nepal and enable them to help themselves rather than to rely solely on a weak relief infrastructure.
