Cuts on development research are expensive

Tuesday the 12th of January, the University Post of University of Copenhagen brought an article on the cuts on development research funds (in Danish).

The financial cuts on 169 mio. DKK on development research, have effects on Denmarks ability to apply for money in EU fonds, which privously have donated 200 mio. DKK to Danish research.

In the article, are the cuts both critized by Helle Samuelsen, who is head of Department of Anthropology and Chairwomen for the Working Group for Development, at University of Copenhagen, as well as Martin Lidegaard, former Minister for Foreign Affairs, and spokesman on issues relating development- and foreign affairs, for The Social Liberal Party, Radikale Venstre.
