The ninth meeting of the Africanist Graduate Forum

We are pleased to invite all relevant graduate students undertaking Africa-related PhDs – primarily in the Social Sciences and Humanities – to participate in the ninth meeting of the Africanist Graduate Forum on FRIDAY 6 December 2019, 13.15-17.00 at the Centre of African Studies, Building 8B, South Campus, Copenhagen University. (More details of how to find us are on our homepage at: https://teol.ku.dk/cas/contact/)

By now, the Africanist Graduate Forum (AFG) has been running twice a year for most years since 2014 (2018 being an exception, when only one event was possible, in the spring).

The basic aim of the AFG remains to offer a positive opportunity and welcoming space to those PhD scholars working on Africa-related research topics in and well beyond the Copenhagen/Øresund region to:

  • present and receive feedback on your own work
  • find out about the work of other PhDs (and other Africanist scholars more generally)
  • generally network and share information within the frame of Africanist scholarship and relevant Africa-related activities in the region

Register for the event by Friday 29 November

Please send a mail about your attendance or any other more general queries to our student assistant at: studcas@teol.ku.dk
